Born in Forlì in 1973. Lives and works in Forlì. Using the languages of photography and video, and frequently resorting to self-representation, she creates stories that draw inspiration from mythology, literature, religions and real life. Her investigations develop along the fine borderline between imagination and reality, between being awake and dreaming, in contexts where the subject is always in mutual communication with the natural element, striving to transcend the limits of body and mind. In 2007 she produced the video Dance dance dance, entitled after a novel by Haruki Murakami: «...to dance, to keep dancing. To dance without ever stopping. Don't ask yourself why. Don't think about what it means. Meaning doesn't matter, if you start thinking about these things your feet will seize up»*. Inside a swimming pool, a swimmer embarks on a slow investigation process, striving to overcome a limit at once physical and spiritual. Her latest work, Secondo vento (Second Wind) (2010) is a video featuring a European Karate champion, for which she draws her inspiration from Simone Weil's Notebooks and the possibility of spiritual uplifting through the beauty of the martial arts. Since 2000 she has exhibited her works at numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
