A tangible bridge between young creativity and the enterprise system. This is the moving spirit of the City Limits project, consistently with the mission that ten years ago led to the creation of the www.artegiovane.it portal, now a thriving virtual gallery and a vital incubator of business projects centred on the talent of emerging artists.
The curator has selected and engaged young artists working in the Emilia Romagna Region who specifically use video and photography as their expressive languages.
Silvia Camporesi, Cristian Chironi, Guido Meschiari, Diego Zuelli and Davide Tranchina, are the names of the artists who have worked on the theme “City Limits. Close your eyes and dream” - a theme closely associated with that of Expo 2010 “Better City, Better Life”.
“The exhibit – Luca Panaro explains – puts the spotlight on city boundaries. Not so much geographical and territorial boundaries, but those suggested by our thoughts. It is an evasion from reality in a quest for the well-being of the mind rather than a direct vision of palpable places; a metaphorical flight from the metropolis aimed at finding suggestions along its borders that can contribute to the improvement of life”.
